Born in Dubai and a resident of Berlin, Portuguese American tenor Russell C. Andrade has achieved renown as a charismatic and forceful interpreter of the most demanding tenor roles.
He has performed the title roles in Les Contes D'Hoffmann, Rienzi, I Pagliacci to rave reviews. He has also realized the roles of Don Jose in Carmen, Rodolfo in La Boheme, Florestan in Fidelio and Pinkerton in Madame Butterfly, among others.
Prior to moving to Berlin in September of 2021, he also owned and operated a wildly popular restaurant named the Iberian Rooster, was a professional photographer, computer security professional, and a published composer of three performed operas. Throughout all of that work, he maintained a performing career.
Currently, Russell is working on composing his fourth opera, earning his Google Data Analyst Certification, learning the roles of Otello and Dick Johnson, performing concerts and recitals and working on his photography, while he gets acclimated to life in Europe.
